Vickers et al. study STDP at the inhibitory synapses formed by PV-interneurons in the auditory cortex. One limb of inhibitory STDP, developmentally gated GABAB-dependent iLTD, was identified as a candidate disinhibitory mechanism during auditory critical period plasticity.
