Linkage-Specific Detection and Metabolism of Human Milk Oligosaccharides in Escherichia coli (Cell Chemical Biology)

Quantitation and glycoside linkage analysis of complex sugars often requires chromatography and/or mass spectrometry. Enam and Mansell have devised a biosensor that enables high-throughput, linkage-specific detection of human milk oligosaccharides and enables dynamic regulation of growth and protein expression in mixed cultures.
