Structural Basis for tRNA Mimicry by a Bacterial Y RNA (Structure)

Wei Wang et al. describe the crystal structure of the S. Typhimurium YrlA RNA effector-binding module, which closely mimics that of tRNA. This module is present in a wide range of bacteria. It may function by tethering an effector molecule to the Ro60/Rsr protein to modulate RNA metabolism.
