A Long-Acting PYY3-36 Analog Mediates Robust Anorectic Efficacy with Minimal Emesis in Nonhuman Primates (Cell Metabolism)

The clinical utility of the gut hormone PYY to reduce food intake has been limited by vomiting. Rangwala et al. develop a new PYY analog that is well tolerated in obese rhesus macaques, without causing emesis. The long-acting PYY analog can be safely combined with liraglutide for further weight reduction.
