Detection and Characterization of a Mycobacterial L-Arabinofuranose ABC Transporter Identified with a Rapid Lipoproteomics Protocol (Cell Chemical Biology)

Mycobacteria cannot survive without the uptake of an appropriate carbon source such as carbohydrates. Here, Li et al. describe the application of a rapid lipoproteomics protocol to match carbohydrate substrates with their cognate ATP-binding cassette importers in a rapid and unbiased procedure. The described approach enables the study of uncharacterized transport routes in mycobacteria.
