Renal sarcomas in adults are characterized by diverse histology and molecular profiles. As many as 69% of cases carry clinically relevant genomic alterations, including recurrent 4q12 amplification harboring the KIT/PDGFRA/KDR tyrosine kinase genes, suggesting benefit from targeted therapy.
