Diet and Exercise Are not Associated with Skeletal Muscle Mass and Sarcopenia in Patients with Bladder Cancer (European Urology Oncology)
 


Lifestyle factors including dietary habits, individual nutritional components, and physical activity do not demonstrate an association with skeletal muscle mass and therefore may have limited impact on sarcopenia. Age, gender, and race are strongly associated with skeletal muscle mass and sarcopenia, and may help guide targeted surgical prehabilitation efforts to improve muscle mass reserve.
