Panicle-Shaped Sympathetic Architecture in the Spleen Parenchyma Modulates Antibacterial Innate Immunity (Cell Reports)
 


Ding et al. report the ImmuView imaging procedure for the 3D assessment of neural innervations in the intact immune organs of the mouse, revealing an intricate, panicle-shaped sympathetic architecture in the parenchyma of the spleen but not other classic immune organs. This sympathetic architecture negatively modulates the spleen antibacterial innate immunity.
