Area-Specific Mapping of Binocular Disparity across Mouse Visual Cortex (Current Biology)
 


La Chioma et al. find ethologically relevant areal specializations for disparity processing in mouse visual cortex, with higher-order area RL preferentially representing nearby visual stimuli. Across areas, disparity preference is related to visual field elevation, likely reflecting an adaptation to natural image statistics.
