The Nuclear Matrix Protein SAFB Cooperates with Major Satellite RNAs to Stabilize Heterochromatin Architecture Partially through Phase Separation (Molecular Cell)
 


Huo et al. demonstrate that SAFB sustains the higher-order organization of pericentromeric heterochromatin by interacting with MajSAT RNAs and forming phase separation. Depletion of SAFB leads to a remodeling of 3D genome organization.
