Detection of Recurrent Prostate Cancer Using Prostate-specific Membrane Antigen Positron Emission Tomography in Patients not Meeting the Phoenix Criteria for Biochemical Recurrence After Curative Radiotherapy (European Urology Oncology)
Recurrent metastatic prostate cancer is frequently detected with prostate-specific membrane antigen positron emission tomography in men treated with radiotherapy, before meeting the Phoenix criteria for biochemical recurrence. These compelling findings call for re-evaluation of the Phoenix criteria, as timely detection of recurrences might refine salvage and/or adjuvant therapies.
