VOLUME 287 (2012) PAGES 12589-12601This article has been withdrawn by the authors. Several concerns were raised. In Fig. 2A, the first two lanes of the GAPDH panel from BALB/c macrophages were rotated 180° and used in the last two lanes. Additionally, the first two lanes of the GAPDH panel from RAW macrophages were reused in the last two lanes. Finally, the iNOS panel from RAW macrophages was spliced. In Fig. 3, the first lane from the PKC-? panel from BALB/c macrophages was rotated 180° and reused in lanes 2 and 6. The first three lanes of the actin panel from BALB/c macrophages were rotated and used in the last three lanes. The first lane of the PKC-? panel from RAW macrophages was rotated and used in the fourth lane. Also, there were no data in lane 3, and the band in lane 6 was pasted in. The first lane of the actin panel from RAW macrophages was reused in lanes 4 and 6. The second lane of the same panel was reused in lane 5. In Fig. 4B, lanes 1 and 3 of the PKC-? panel were the same. The first lane of the actin panel was reused in lanes 3, 5, and 7; the second lane was reused in lanes 4 and 6. Fig. 8A contained undeclared gel splices. Additionally, the GAPDH bands were duplicated. The authors were unable to provide the original data. In light of the above concerns and the unavailability of the underlying data required to...
