The Chinese Center of Disease Control and Prevention reported 12 336 new cases and four deaths from dengue fever, with the outbreak centred in the south Chinese provinces of Yunnan, Fujian, Guangxi, and Guangdong. The Chinese Government has strengthened mosquito eradication efforts and guidance on self-protective measures.
