R-ChIP Using Inactive RNase H Reveals Dynamic Coupling of R-loops with Transcriptional Pausing at Gene Promoters (Molecular Cell)

Chen et al. developed R-ChIP to map R-loops genome-wide with high resolution. Most captured R-loops are associated with gene promoters and dynamically correlated with transcriptional pausing. They further demonstrated that a free RNA end coupled with a preferred G/C skew sequence is required to promote R-loop formation.
