Specific Decrease in B-Cell-Derived Extracellular Vesicles Enhances Post-Chemotherapeutic CD8+ T Cell Responses (Immunity)

CD39+CD73+ EVs can hydrolyze ATP into adenosine to inhibit T cell activation. However, the outcome of the massive release of ATP from chemotherapy-treated tumor cells remains elusive. Zhang et al. report that B-cell-derived CD39+CD73+ EVs hydrolyze ATP from tumor cells into adenosine, thus restraining post-chemotherapeutic CD8+ T cell responses.
