The US Department of Health and Human Services and National Institutes of Health (NIH) have proposed rules to increase clinical trial transparency for trial participants and the public. One proposal strengthens trial registration requirements and submission of results at ClinicalTrials.org and another extends these registration and reporting requirements to all NIH-funded clinical trials.
