Editing N-Glycan Site Occupancy with Small-Molecule Oligosaccharyltransferase Inhibitors (Cell Chemical Biology)

Inhibition of the oligosaccharyltransferase and N-linked glycosylation was previously demonstrated using the small molecule NGI-1. Here we show that changes in the functional groups of NGI-1 are able to regulate subunit specificity toward the oligosaccharyltransferase catalytic subunits, STT3A and STT3B, and identify a series of STT3B-specific inhibitors.
