Structural Basis for Neutralization and Protection by a Zika Virus-Specific Human Antibody (Cell Reports)
 


Zika virus (ZIKV) is a mosquito-transmitted flavivirus that can cause severe neurological and immunological defects in humans. Wang et al. have characterized the structural and functional features of a potent and protective human monoclonal antibody against ZIKV, which could serve as a promising candidate for future prophylactic and therapeutic interventions.
