Is There Still a Need for Repeated Systematic Biopsies in Patients with Previous Negative Biopsies in the Era of Magnetic Resonance Imaging-targeted Biopsies of the Prostate? (European Urology Oncology)
 


Magnetic resonance imaging-targeted biopsies perform better in detecting prostate cancer in a repeat biopsy setting than systematic biopsies. The value of repeat systematic biopsies is limited; only few significant prostate cancers are missed when repeat systematic biopsies are omitted in this setting.
