DNA Damage Activates TGF-? Signaling via ATM-c-Cbl-Mediated Stabilization of the Type II Receptor T?RII (Cell Reports)

Li et al. report that DNA damage stabilizes the TGF-? receptor T?RII via ATM and c-Cbl and thus promotes TGF-? signaling. This pathway works together with the known canonical DNA damage response pathway to ensure complete cell-cycle arrest and allow efficient DNA damage repair.
