The word `diversity` is intertwined with many aspects of our roles as Cell editors. Every day, we encounter diverse new ideas, discoveries, and technologies in different disciplines. We have the privilege of engaging communities around the world through conferences and lab visits. At a time when nationalism and exclusionist currents are on the rise, science remains a precious bastion of global collaboration. It therefore gives us great joy to reflect on the diversity of the science, scientists, and institutions in the pages of Cell.
