BUD13 Promotes a Type I Interferon Response by Countering Intron Retention in Irf7 (Molecular Cell)

Frankiw et al. show that the Irf7 transcript contains a weak intron that requires the RNA-binding protein BUD13 to be efficiently spliced. Depletion of BUD13 was associated with increased intron retention, ultimately compromising the type I interferon response.
