NF-?B Signaling Negatively Regulates Osteoblast Dedifferentiation during Zebrafish Bone Regeneration (Developmental Cell)
 


In regenerating zebrafish fins, differentiated osteoblasts dedifferentiate and serve as source cells for regenerating bone. In a high-content imaging-based in vivo chemical screen, Mishra et al. identified NF-?B signaling as a cell-autonomous inhibitor of osteoblast dedifferentiation. NF-?B signaling acts upstream of retinoic acid signaling to maintain osteoblast differentiation.
